HISTORY

Delhi SPCA is a society established in the year 1915 and Registered under Societies Registration Act 1860, in the year 1928. The then Prime Minister has granted 100% Grant - in-Aid to Delhi SPCA (DSPCA) in the year 1976.

Delhi SPCA has been authorized as the only infirmary in respect of the entire NCT of Delhi o (vide Delhi Gazette Notification No. F.12(215)/AHD/SPCA/2010/4868 dated 23.02.2010) for the treatment and care of animals seized under Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1960 and for detention of animalspending litigation. The animals seized under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1960, are being accepted round-the-clock
