For proper enforcement for Cruelty of Animals Act, 1961, Delhi Government has constituted Delhi SPCA Board.
Besides enforcing various provisions of existing Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Rules of the Act, the Board has two Vety. Hospitals cum infirmaries at Tis Hazari & Darya Ganj where sick animals, sick injured and suffering animals are provided treatment shelter feeding and health care. The Board also looks after the Public Awareness Campaign for passion towards animals and their suffering.
